AV technology helps governments to improve lives
See latest AV applications for transport management, security and information communication from international and emerging Asian AV brand leaders at InfoComm Asia 2010 (www.infocomm-asia.com), Asia's largest trade show dedicated to pro AudioVisual and systems integration.

(Hong Kong, 27 July 2010) From emergency services and homeland security to utilities and public services such as air, sea and land transportation, healthcare and legal operations, AV systems play a growing role in the ability of governments to provide timely, efficient and quality services; to make well-informed decisions; and hence, to improve lives.

AV systems used in Control and Command Centers allow 24/7 monitoring and response capabilities for emergency and rescue, as well as military operations. Surveillance systems at strategic locations promote public security. Sophisticated video and computer graphics generation, distribution, and display technology in Traffic Operations Center capture live feeds from video cameras located at key points to offer real-time management of traffic flow. Computer communication and conferencing networks enable efficient information sharing within and between government agencies, enhancing collaboration. Videoconferencing and integration technologies permit digital evidence presentation, remote witness testimony and recording of proceedings in the law courts. Digital signage and touch screen kiosks provide interactive convenience and access to public information. And, integrated control and automation systems coordinate and manage AV and data sources, display systems and security networks.

Governments all over the world are increasingly using such AV enhancements in their day-to-day operations, especially as AV and IT technologies converge and the world at large is marching strongly into the electronic era.

International and emerging brands, latest products

These solutions and more will be presented at InfoComm Asia 2010 happening in Hong Kong from 17-19 November. The government sector incorporating transportation and security, is a key market for the international and Asian AV industry leaders who will be displaying their latest AV technologies there.

Companies like Extron, Kramer, Magenta Research and RGB Spectrum will offer high performance matrix switchers for high-resolution computer-video and stereo audio routing. VTRON will bring its visualization solutions such as high resolution display systems, video walls, and interactive digital boards. Jupiter Systems supplies network-based multiple-screen display stations and display wall controllers, which drive desktop and operator consoles and projectors in display walls. ClearOne and Danish Interpretation Systems will present conferencing solutions. BrightSign and Cayin Technology provide digital signage and kiosks controllers for remote content updates, scheduling, network administration and content management.

Other AV systems suppliers with technology applications for the transport sector at InfoComm Asia 2008 include AMX, Gefen, Da-Lite, Dehao Electronics, Media-Go Engineering, Onactivity, Sinew Technology, Skyware Communications, Tranzendia and Zhaoke Electronics. These companies will join other international brands such as Beyerdynamic, Crestron, Dataton, Draper, Elite Screens, Fleetwood, Kinoton, Lighthouse, ONELAN, Projectiondesign, Sennheiser, Stewart Filmscreen and Wolfvision, to put together a most comprehensive display of the diverse AV applications for the growing Asian markets.
