'Smart' hospitality from 'intelligent' building features
See latest smart AV enhancements from international and emerging Asian AV brand leaders at InfoComm Asia 2010 (www.infocomm-asia.com), Asia's largest trade show dedicated to pro AudioVisual, information communication and systems integration.
(Hong Kong, 27 July 2010) AV systems are fast becoming important components of hotels, resorts, commercial and residential buildings. Architects and builders are no longer content to just build aesthetic brick-and mortar 'shells'. Increasingly, the trend is to create entire internal and external environments where the people can thrive and soar. Audio-visual systems, integrated into the hotel facilities and building management structure, can add style, efficiency, and ultimately value to the establishment. Further, an AV-enhanced building management system also contributes to the productivity and well being of its occupants.
Enhancements such as metacontrol rooms that allow instantaneous or even automated response to security, lighting and temperature conditions in the hotel rooms, residential or commercial buildings; digital signage systems in lobbies or elevators that provide convenience in presenting useful information like event happenings, weather or traffic conditions, or product sales offers; advanced multimedia and sound systems that can create appropriately desired mood and ambience in selected areas; large display systems or videowalls create impact and presence, as well as advertising revenue source; and, with distributed AV or videoconferencing networks, especially in hotels and commercial properties, guests or tenants will be greatly convenienced.
