Good take-up for Infocomm Asia 2008. 65% of floor space booked.
More than 65% of the exhibition space for InfoCommAsia 2008 has been booked, one and a half years ahead of the show dates of 19-21 November 2008. The inaugural Pan Asian trade show for the Pro AV industry will be held in Hong Kong alongside the much acclaimed InfoComm China event.

Companies which have booked space include industry leaders like Barco, Extron, Mitsubishi, AMX, Vega, Loud Technologies, Lighthouse, Jupiter Systems, dnp, Crestron, Christie, Da-lite, Draper, GQY, SIM2, Vtron to name a few. Many had participated in previous InfoCommAsia events in China and other parts of Asia, and have seen for themselves the immense business opportunities that Asia offers for multimedia and integrated information systems suppliers.

"The growth potential is obvious considering that Asia currently accounts for only 25% of the global AV market of $47 billion. Also, Asian economies are doing exceptionally well, especially in China, India and Japan, with India and China pushing growth at close to 10% per annum," said Mr. Terry Friesenborg CTS, Senior VP of InfoComm International and Managing Director of InfoCommAsia Pte Ltd. "Asia is definitely an important market and InfoComm Asia is a timely vehicle to move companies into action. That is why InfoComm InternationalR has embarked on an Asian market survey which will help companies to properly size up the market. The results of this survey will be ready for release by June next year," he added.

InfoComm Asia 2008 is organized by InfoCommAsia Pte Ltd, a joint venture between US-based InfoComm InternationalR and Singapore-based MP Asia Pte Ltd. Besides InfoComm InternationalR, the InfoComm Asia 2008 event also has the support and participation of the Chinese Institute of Electronics.

To cater to emerging trends in Asia, themed pavilions have been planned. The et4 ˇX entertainment technology for establishments, public spaces, theme parks and integrated resorts ˇX and iHS ˇX intelligent home solutions ˇX pavilions at InfoComm Asia will offer exhibiting companies further opportunities to showcase real applications of their technologies. Visitors will be able to gain insights or new approaches to sharpen their competitive edge with innovative multimedia experiences, or accessorize their residential projects with intelligent features in order to increase marketability. In addition to a trade exhibition of the latest technology for presentation, conferencing, advertising and signage, entertainment and staging, education and training, public information, and command and control, InfoComm Asia will include technical and business conferences addressing trends and industry issues, site visits to live installations and educational seminars for skills upgrading.

"By focusing our resources on building an effective biennial pan-Asian regional event, our exhibitors can meet with prospective project buyers and channel representatives from across all of Asia in one place," explained Mr. Richard Tan, General Manager of InfoCommAsia Pte Ltd. "It will also provide a regular platform for exhibitors to announce and launch their latest technology and solutions to the regional market. This will enable them to reach out to the worldˇ¦s fastest growing market in a cost effective way," he added.
