As part of InfoCommAsia's continuing effort to bring AV technology to Asia, a series of Road Shows in major Asian cities will be organized. Comprising one-day programs of targeted meetings with trade distributors and end-user buyers, the Road Shows will allow exhibitors to penetrate or expand their market reach into specific geographical markets across Asia.

The Road Show moves on to Southeast Asia next. Southeast
Asia as a whole has a combined population of more than 560
million, and a combined GDP of almost $1,100 billion growing
at 5% annually since the start of the 21st
century. Its consumer market is valued at $330 billion,
equaling that of China¡¦s booming coastal region.
The
circuit covers:

Ho Chi Minh City, 21 July 2008
¡E
Jakarta, 23 July 2008
¡E
Singapore, 25 July 2008
¡E

These four cities are a good mix of the different stages of
development in Southeast Asia, so exhibitors will gain a deeper
understanding of market diversity at play here. Singapore has a
dynamic economy with consistent growth of more than 7% pa in the
past few years, and is an important hub for the region.
Thailand with its capital Bangkok has shown its resilience in
the face of adversity, bouncing back strongly from the Asian
economic crisis of 1997. The Thai economy is likely to expand 5%
this year and 5.2% in 2009. Vietnam (capital Ho Chi Minh City)
has often been referred to as the second China attributed to its
high growth potential and entrepreneurial inclination of its
young population. Vietnam has averaged 7.4% GDP growth between
2000 and 2006. Indonesia is the world¡¦s largest archipelago and
most diverse nation in terms of is resource endowments and
population settlements. Its GDP is expected to grow by 6.4% in
2008.

of economic growth, with a market value of around $89 billion.
Australian businesses are heavy users of ICT. There are almost

engaging increasingly with Asia Pacific countries in addition to
its traditional links with America and Europe. Currently, over
70 per cent of its trade is with the member economies of APEC.
Its top three merchandise export markets are Japan, China and
the Republic of Korea while India is its fastest growing major

India (10-14 December 2007)
Exhibitors at this first InfoComm Asia Road Show held
in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, India, gave organizers
the ¡§thumbs up¡¨ after a hectic back-to-back schedule on the
three-city circuit. They went home with a solid list of
more than 500 qualified business contacts and agreed that
the Road Show was an effective way to get to know the market
and connect with end-user enterprises and channel
distributors. For a full post-show report,
