Getting Asia ready for the 'buzz'
et4@InfoComm Asia 2008 is a marketing platform designed to enable suppliers of entertainment systems – hardware and software - to present their latest technologies for sound, sight and motion to event, theme park, and facilities managers in Asia.

As market competition becomes more intense, restaurants, retail malls, and corporations are compelled to think out of the box to engage their customers.  A definite trend towards interactive entertainment experiences has emerged.  With the advent of computer-mediated digital technologies, the possibilities to create high impact entertainment at the frontline are boundless.

Throughout Asia, a big buzz is building up. Singapore has awarded contracts for two integrated resorts to be built, incorporating casinos and MICE facilities; Malaysia has announced it's proceeding with the Iskandar Development Region (IDR), a multi-billion dollar plan to turn southern Johor into a vibrant commercial and economic hub; and Hong Kong is giving its established film entertainment industry a further boost with the addition of the Cyberport encompassing a Digital Media Centre and iResource Centre.

Hollywood producers have started moving into Asia. Disneyland opened its second theme park in Hong Kong in 2005, while MGM announced it's building one in Shanghai, and Universal Studios followed suit with two more theme parks planned for Singapore and Korea in addition to its Osaka park opened in 2001.  Broadway musicals and theatre productions are also enjoying a wave of popularity across Asia, with calendars booked for such events over the next three years.

In a market study conducted by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, the global entertainment and media industry is forecast to grow from $1.3 trillion in 2005 to $1.8 trillion by 2010.  Industry experts expect at least $800 billion to be generated in Asia.

et4@InfoComm Asia 2008 offers entertainment programmers and operators all over Asia a single stop to learn, see and experience, first-hand, the exciting technologies that are available to engage their audience and customers.  Industry leaders will be there to showcase their newest technologies and help get Asia ready for the big buzz.
